Not sure why they have all the bad reviews. Looks like they are all old. We went to a bigger seafood buffet a few days before coming here and we were extremely disappointed. After hanging out at the pool all day we were looking for a lot of food. A few different people told us about this place so we went, even after swearing off seafood buffets forever! We were treated promptly on arrival and seated quickly. Our server, Farah, got right to us and had drinks before we returned from the buffet. There were 6 of us. There was a good selection of food including non seafood things. They had a lot of different veggies. The lobster bisque was insanely good. The dessert bar had a lot of selection as well and the Oreo stuff was off the hook. The family had crab legs and they all said they were good. The place is clean, the service was fast and friendly and the price was decent for what we got. It's $21.99 for the buffet and a drink or $31.99 with crab legs.

Beware advertising is misleading. We even called ahead for prices. At no time were we told the quoted prices did not include the crab legs. Extra charge for that. And when we received our check we did not see the coupon discount. We were then told coupon only applied to adult buffet with crab legs and there were several children in our party and a few adults who did not get crab legs. Oh well. The food was not as good as other buffets we have tried. The selection was OK. A lot of non seafood side items if that is what you are looking for. The crab legs were smaller and the first few batches were just tasteless and cold. They did get a little better. The best thing was the server brought the crab legs to the table. No need to wait at the bar for fresh legs then fight for them. The steak was not even edible. Could not cut with a knife. The kid friendly food was good for them but not worth the cost of the buffet for fries and corn dogs etc. Over all not a great experience.

Typical Seafood Buffet- great variety and kid friendly food. Service was fast and friendly.

This was the worse sea food I have ever tasted! The buffet is way Ober priced! Please do your self a favor and go somewhere else.

Puked 5 minutes after leaving and not because I overrated! Service was good, food quality was bad. Food was either frozen or from a can. The price was ridiculous ($30 with crab legs) for the quality of food. I don't mind paying if the food is good but it's not. The crab legs and water was 2 best items on the menu but the rest was disgusting. As mentioned before Golden Corral is higher quality. I'd rate this with no stars if I could. I literally vomited 5 minutes after leaving (Thanks myrtle beach mall for having clean restrooms to do so) Stay away and save your money. Can't express that enough, but hey at least the service was good!

Way overpriced! $66 for me and my 12 year old son to have the buffet. Canned fruit salad in the salad bar.

This was the worse sea food I have ever tasted! The buffet is very bad. Mostly fried frozen food! Do not waste your money. I would not pay more than $7.00 for this buffet.

My husband and I visit Preston's annually and I've not been disappointed once. Everything I've ever eaten there has been delicious and I always leave quite stuffed!!!! Service is OK.

Nothing special, especially for the price. I've eaten at Golden Corral and had much better. Definitely not worth it.

Awesome crab legs. We had excellent service by Mike. He has been there a while and is very experienced. The place was clean. The buffet was neat and there were many options. The best part was that they bring the crab legs fresh to your table and they are not on the buffet. My wife overheard the manager having a meeting with her staff and she was very positive and focused on providing great service. Thanks for the great experience

We were in the Myrtle Beach area for just a couple of nights, so choosing the right seafood place was pretty important. Didn't want to mess that up! I cannot recommend this place. We went there because we had a coupon. We thought we were getting a deal. The buffet is normally $20 per person. For that price, twice of what you would pay at a Golden Corral, I was expecting something amazing. The salad portion was terrible. Iceberg lettuce. Some scatter toppings. Really? The rest of the food was not great. They had an assortment of seafood--once it's fried,it's all the same. Not a huge variety of food overall and frankly, it was all just kind of bland. Insult to injury: they charged extra for crab legs. We won't go back.

Eight of us ate at Preston's last night. We have eaten there annually for he last 5 years (minus last year) and the food quality is always very good. This year it was a one price buffet for $27. In he past crab legs were optional for an additional $6. No longer. And since I paid for them I ate them and they were excellent. The shrimp, scallops and fried oysters were also very good. They boiled whole shrimp were soft and yucky. Service was also very good. Interestingly there was only a 5 minute wait at 7:00 pm on a Wednesday and there were many empty tables. Not sure whether is was the economy or the price. We will try a new seafood restaurant next year.

Worst buffet I have ever had in my life. $25.00 doest even include crab legs. Rubbery marshmallow scallops. Dry shrimp. Sour tar tar sauce. Rotten fruit. Then a 25.00 bill. Worst dining experience of my life.

Was much better when they had all you can eat crab legs on the menu which was the main reason I went there. Still, you won't walk away hungry. This place has an extensive buffet with something for everyone. If you can't find anything to eat here, its not long until rigor mortis sets in. They can be hit or miss though. Sometimes it's pretty good. Sometimes it's bad.

Absolute terrible experience. I am not exaggerating when I say that -nothing- on the buffet was edible. Eat here at your own risk. We left the restaurant with our plates full of food - everything tasted strange, old, wilted, overcooked, or just plain horrible! How does this place stay in business?

This was the first year we had eaten here. They had fast and friendly service. They buffet was well stocked and good variety of food.

Great buffet! A little expensive for the crab legs not to be included. $80 for two people. That includes all you could crab legs, the buffet, two beers and a Cheerwine : ) But overall, was a nice dinner.

Was in search of seafood, landed at Preston's. While I'm not a fan of buffets, Preston's was very clean, had a curteous staff, and food was good. Unlimited crab legs was $11 more per person on top of the buffet price ($20+drink). Good place for family, kids. Not so much for extensive seafood specialties, although there was quite a variety of other offering on the buffet bars.

$28 for buffet with crab legs. Unfortunately my crab legs were cold and small. The Buffet itself was small as well. Not much to choose from. It's good food if you're REALLY HUNGRY... They have a kids buffet bar with children friendly items.

Had the regular buffet. No crab legs. Good food. Lots of selection. Good place for those wanting country food AND seafood at a good price.

Do not go here, waste of money! Sooo disappointing, nothing like the advertised picture! Sad to say, Golden Corral's food has more taste and they have more of a selection than this debacle called a seafood Buffett. Everything tastes old, out of a can or freezer burned, and so bland. I would have enjoyed a Big Mac much better and wouldn't have cost 21.95. They have something they claim as prime rib, it's sub- prime rib if anything. As I started eating this food I knew something was off, should have just got up and left , not sure what I was thinking, thst maybe it wd getBetter? Well it didn't , just got worse, was like a dinner nightmare experience Seats are sticky and most have souviners of what was eaten there previously by table before your This place straight up sucks and don't waste time, nor your funds on this place, keep it moving to much better place, a real seafood buffet place cause they certainly arent one of them.

I don't know why there are so many bad reviews, but I love to visit this buffet every time I vacation in Myrtle Beach. I love the fact that you can purchase the buffet without crab legs to save money b/c not all of us can afford to go to those $30 buffets! The food on the buffet was great! Everything had great flavors and the seafood was hot and fresh tasting. There was a wide variety and the service was outstanding. You can tell that the owner's really strive to make you happy. The owner (I assume) was even standing outside opening the door for everyone in the freezing cold and the staff was all very attentive.

Overpriced and food was obviously prepared elsewhere (canned, frozen, etc). Staff was friendly, especially the hostess, but my waiter was in no hurry. That is hard to understand when the main thing they have to do is being a drink and silverware. They don't even have to clear the empty plates.

Great food- just more of a selection would be my only recommendation. Traditional souther flavors with great desserts and huge salad bar. Want a reasonably priced buffet -stop here.

If you want bad or imitation seafood, go to a Chinese buffet. It'd be a lot cheaper and a lot more satisfying!

OMG. What a nightmare. On the good side. Wait staff were friendly. On the not so good side. Food bar was limited. Food was overcooked, mostly fried, not fresh this over saturated with oil. Salad was iceberg lettuce and dressing overflowing into the ice and other items. I survived on peel and eat shrimp which were ok. As well as the peach cobbler. This was the best part of the meal. Silverware were dirty and we had to ask for new place setting. Overall they should have paid us to eat there. Was a big disappointment. Do your research before choosing this place.

The chicken tenders were awesome. T-Bone steak tasted like it just came off the grill and tender. Not impressed with any of the seafood I tried(fried shrimp, scallops, fried fish(not sure what it was) and the tarter sauce did not have much flavor. Prime Rib flavorless and somewhat tough. Hushpuppies were great. Most of the veggies I tried were somewhat bland. Fresh fruit was great. If you want a variety of food then this is the place to go. Seafood and Country Cooking. $21.95 per person $28.95 with crab legs(had a $4.00 off coupon which could only be used if you got crab legs) but I think we had the early bird special.

The very definition of foul. We went to Preston's on the recommendation of the staff at our hotel. We got there a little after 5:30 on Wednesday night just before Labor Day and found the parking lot to be half empty. We thought we had gotten lucky and timed it just right. We soon found out why . We entered the lobby which was very dirty and proceed to wait while two employees (a hostess and a server) had a personal conversation. After standing there listening to the conversation (that was not work related) we asked if we could get a table. The hostess appeared to be annoyed at having been interrupted from her conversation but we were seated. It took 15 minutes before we saw a server during a time which the restaurant was half empty. When our waitress showed up, there was no greeting, smile or anything, just a very curt, "help you?" My husband and I both ordered the buffet. It then took another 10 minutes to get our drinks. We have been to many buffets in the past and we don't expect gormet dining but we do expect fresh food that is hot when it is supposed to be hot and cold when it was supposed to be cold. We really came for the AYCE crab legs so that was the first thing we both got. The first bite was just foul. There was really no other way to describe it. They tasted like they were boiled in the plastic container in which they were being served. I made it through 3 or 4 legs before feeling like I needed to scrub my tongue. We then decided try other things. Everything that was supposed to be hot was either cold or lukewarm and the cold items were room tempature. At no time during the meal did the waitress ever come back to check on us. No refills, nothing. We finally got up to find her to get our check when she saw us she came over, possbily thinking we were going to leave without paying and put the check on the table. We handed her our payment, she quickly processed it came back and said "thanks". That was it, in the hour we were there our server said 3 words to us. As we were leaving we asked to speak to a manager but we were told that he was too busy to talk to us. Needless to say, we will never dine at this establishment again. Simply horrible all the way around.
